Greek Organic Balsamic Vinegar – Aged 3 Years from Sun-Ripened Grapes of the Peloponnese
Our organic balsamic vinegar from Greece is made from a carefully selected blend of traditional Greek grape varieties. The grapes grow under the intense sun of the Peloponnese, where they develop their rich and aromatic character. From these grapes we create a distinctive Greek balsamic vinegar that combines sweetness, fruitiness and a pleasant acidity in perfect balance.
For our balsamic vinegar we use five selected grape varieties: Fileri, Roditis, Agiorgitiko, Moschoudi and Cabernet. This combination creates a complex aroma with fruity notes and natural depth. The vinegar is refined with Petimezi, a traditional Greek grape syrup. This natural product has been used for centuries as a natural sweetener and gives the vinegar its gentle sweetness and deep color.
Our balsamic vinegar from the Peloponnese then matures for three years in wooden barrels. During this time the aromas of the grapes blend with the natural sweetness of the petimezi. The result is a balanced vinegar with a harmonious acidity of 6 %, delicate fruit notes and a smooth, rounded character.
We use only certified organic grapes and completely avoid additives. Our balsamic vinegar is natural, unfiltered and produced with time and patience. This preserves the authentic character of the grapes.
This organic balsamic vinegar pairs perfectly with fresh salads, Mediterranean dishes, grilled vegetables or antipasti. It is especially harmonious when combined with our Kalia organic olive oil. Together they create a classic Mediterranean combination for salads and many other dishes.
